Fourier's Journal: can't take the sky from me

Go see Serenity. Please. It's a good movie, and it deserves to have sequels. Unfortunately, it didn't do too well opening weekend, and if ticket sales don't pick up, the future of the series may be in jeopardy.

Being the #2 movie for the weekend sounds OK to me.

Of course, I am hoping it will do even better this weekend.

There is a decent probability that I will see it a second time.

But I thought it was fantastic so I am hoping word of mouth will mean sales will increase rather than decline from here.

I guess it didn't do horribly, but a lot of us were hoping for bigger numbers to help get the green light for some sequels. I hope you're right that word of mouth will prevent the usual dropoff in ticket sales; guess we'll find out this coming weekend.
