* New River Gorge Bridge - An amazing single-span arch bridge. Be sure to visit on Bridge Day when you are allowed to jump off (876 feet!) with a parachute.

* National Radio Astronomy Observatory - Green Bank - Largest radio telescope.

* Nuclear Bomb Bunker at The Greenbrier - This is where Congress would have gone in the event of a nuclear war during the Cold War. An amazing feat of engineering.
