Comment FBI Confused (Score 1) 1010

The FBI is obviously confused. FBI Directory Comey said in his briefing that the FBI could find no evidence that HRC's server had been hacked. Then why do (or did) the FBI have Gucifer extradited and imprisoned here in the US? I don't know whether it's do or did, since I heard he was found dead in his cell having committed suicide. Another HRC suicide?

The comments seem to imply you can no longer experience PLATO. That's not true. There is an emulator for the PLATO Terminal available at: http://www.cyber1.org/ I even bought a really cool T-Shirt from them and a patch celebrating the 50th Anniversary of PLATO on June 2-3, 2010 in Mountain View California. Try it, if I remember right, even the old airplane design programs are there.

I use 100 watt incandescent bulbs in my garage every winter to add warmth. They don't keep it room tempature here in Colorado, but at least nothing freezes. I was so upset with this ridiculous intrusion into my life by the government I went out and bought enough for 10 to 15 years.

As a child I was taught that it takes two to tango, or in this case to disagree. Why is this a Republican-led shutdown? The liberal opinion seems to be if you don't agree with my opinion your being unreasonable. I'm growing so sick and tired of this attitude. It's beginning to show that we're a nation of idiots who don't seem to understand the impact on our nation's future. Does no one seem to understand that we can't afford the promises we're making are not affordable except to those who don't have to pay for them? I too can live off welfare, but somebody has to pay the piper eventually.

Sony Finally Turning a Profit On PS3s 117

When the PS3 launched in 2006, estimates pegged the price of producing the consoles to be as much as $250 more than the price at which they were sold. Production costs have dropped since then, but there have been several price cuts as well. Now, almost four years later, Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida says they're finally turning a profit on the hardware. "This year is the first time that we are able to cover the cost of the PlayStation 3,' Yoshida said. 'We aren't making huge money from hardware, but we aren't bleeding like we used to.' In May, Sony began shipping new PlayStation 3 consoles with smaller and more cost-effective graphics chips. Now, Yoshida said, Sony is looking at replenishing retail stock that has been running on empty since January rather than cutting the price. 'When we bring the cost of hardware down, we are looking at opportunities to adjust prices if we believe that will increase demand,' he explained. 'At the moment, we are trying to catch up our production.'"

Now wait, Comcasst has a legal monopoly in the Denver Metro area. So now, police duties have been assigned to a monopoly. I believe the Colorado Utilities Commission and the state legislature need to investigate this evolving 1984 assignment of local government duties.

I haven't seen "Starship Through Space" or "Rocket Man" by G. Harry Stine mentioned. I liked these books because they were about young people doing something really exciting in a technically believable fashion. This was the same reason I liked "Have Spacesuit Will Travel" and "Space Cadet". I liked these four books enough that I went out and bought the hardcopy versions of these books so many years ago when all I had was an allowance and had to ride the bus downtown to the bookstore to buy them. I still have those books and treasure them.
