The manufacture of an EV is an ecological nightmare and the power that runs them comes from all the nightmarish sources that power has always come from. People who think that they are helping the environment by driving an EV are so dumb that they should be living in some kind of supervised facility. An EV is nothing but a device for people to express some kind of fantasized moral superiority.

People are stupid, so they don't remember, but this has been tested. In the Energy Crisis of the 1970's, for some reason the US Government gave permanent Daylight Savings Time a go. It turned out that when they experienced it, most people didn't like it. It's a nuisance but so is brushing your teeth or washing the dishes.

Does somebody not know that heat pump systems already have electrical heating coils like a big dumb space heater, for all the times that there's no heat to pump? I live in what is called The South and my aux heat goes on from time to time.
