  • They believe it's unnatural because the words of God (in the Torah, Bible, Koran, etc.) Himself say it is unnatural. While science has shown it is genetic, fervently religious people do not believe science supercedes the Word of God. Your opinion, too, does not supercede the Word of God.

The fact that Christians quote the Old Testament for proof of this is, in itself, crazy, because Jesus overturned the old laws. Besides, Paul was seriously conservative, and that reflected in his writings.

    Religion blows beca
    • I'm philosophically religious , Take from the works of Maimonides and later Philosophical Jews .
Taking the Tanakh literally is just bound to cause people problems as they will go on crusades and commit atrocities ..
The problem is not religion so much as people too stupid to understand allegory and metaphor.
      • Religion is far more than allegory and metaphor. A lot of it is dogma, traditions and rituals. Indeed, if people took religion less seriously, it would be better. But religious dogma and tradition demands that religion is taken seriously, and this is enforced by threats of punishment. Thus, religion is enforced and established in families, generation after generation.

The problem indeed is religion. Individuals have an obligation to take care of themselves. But religion isn't blameless in this. It actively s
        • This is why I decided to stay true to my heritage and be Religiously Jewish , modern day Judaism has hardly any Dogma in the Reform and reconstruction movements , they will ordain gay/lesbian Rabbis .
Christianity added nothing to Judaism that was not already there all be it in a different form .Maimonides expanded upon it as did many other scholars reinterpreting the Torah and the Talmud for their own times in more philosophical manners , as has been the tradition in Judaism .

          • I respect your decision to be religious in any faith and I commend you for being part of a movement that ensures your chosen religion remains open and well-meaning.

It is interesting to see that older religions, such as Hinduism, Judaism and Buddhism embrace the concept of encompassing everyone in the spirit of Brotherhood, the fact remains that these freer versions are not the most popular of the movements in their respective religions. Hinduism, like Buddhism, was once simply a philosophy, based on the Ved
  • sin is natural. it's still sin.

for example, social scientists say that men are naturally polyamorous. the seventh commandment is to not be adulterous.
    • Polygamy is not adultery only bigamy , if the two women are aware of the fact then it is not adulterous , Mosha himself had more than one wife .
    • Sin is going against the will of G-d , If the will of G-d is to be defined by his creation . Since it is taken that G-D created the Universe(in a believer of G-d's mind , and perhaps reality but this is not a theological debate as such) , thus nature is G-d's creation .
According to the Christian right (not meaning Right wing , or classical Christian . Bible literalists only) Genesis is to be taken literally , and since genetics is proven beyond reasonable doubt ,then it must have been the creation of G-d .
  • There are homosexual couplings among animals, so it seems natural enough to me. I'm fairly sure they haven't been corrupted by mainstream media.
  • For myself, I like to look to the new testament for such things. Time and time again, I come back to the Gospel According to Matthew, 7, in which it is said, "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

It seem so simple to me. Leave Heath Ledger alone, if he wants to Broke-butt Mount-Him, that's his business... it's not for us to judge. It doesn't hurt me - thus - it's for God to sort out
