If the adults were vaccinated then they shouldn't need to worry about the kids. I think the disagreement here is you have people that absolutely believe the science they are told is the real science is the real science. There is a reason why the theory of relativity, while highly valued is still called a theory and not a fact is because science needs to have open discussion and the findings that come out that do not support the current science need to be analyzed. Desperation to get back to normal does not nullify doing science correctly.
