I've used slackware for just 1,5 years, before that RH and I've tried out Debian(i386 & PPC), FreeBSD, YellowDog, MAndrake.
The ONLY system that give me the level of controll I prefer is SlackWare. Full controll - and as many has pointed out - all you have to know is how to use tar, make and rm - and really - if you can't do that .... well .... go back to Bill
