Or did you just help other people who actually did the killing, by, say, swabbing the toilets, or gassing up their cars, like a good, obedient, Nat'l Guardsman. I'll see you in hell. You can tell 'em I sent you. And that you had the choice, that people were telling you otherwise, but you were so busy admiring how butch you looked in your duds, and wondering if the sergent would notice how sweet your butt looked, and that you chose to be on the side of death.
