What's trapping the infrared that you mentioned is the water vapor that is in the atmosphere, it makes up the biggest portion of what is called greenhouses gases certainly not some plant nutrient. This storm is basically nothing, we have had much stronger and bigger storms than this here in the Carolinas. If you would look at the past records you will see there has been a decline of these storms, so it rains we need the rain to refill lakes and water supplies/tables up.
