I think you have a point there.

Although (to burn some karma), having just watched all of the movies with my kids, I don't think Revenge of the Sith was all that loathsome. Jar Jar finally recedes into the background, and Anakin's transformation into Darth Vader essentially for fear of asking forgiveness doesn't make for a bad parable, at least by Hollywood standards.

Anyway, it's interesting to see at what ages kids like the different episodes. My son really loved the original with Luke the best until he saw Anakin at roughly the same age. My daughter liked Return of the Jedi best, so yes the cute Ewoks worked fine at making a family movie.

Yes you can. People can chose to get informed, at which point they will no longer be ignorant. On the other hand, an idiot can't change their mental ability, and as such they are blameless for their handicap.

I agree. I recently bought an HD-DVD player. Prior to doing so, I had actually told Netflix that I had both types of players, and had been keeping track of which of the movies I watched were available in what format. By a fair margin, there were more Blu-Ray than HD-DVD movies that I wanted to watch, but the price of Blu-Ray was too high for me to justify the cost during a format war.

After Christmas, I was able to pick up the HD-DVD player for $165. At that price I figured what the heck... there may be more Blu-Ray movies, but there are enough HDDVDs to make it interesting. I'll watch the HD-DVD movies I want to see now, and when a Blu-Ray player hits a similar price, I'll start watching those too.
