Yeah, this is kind of as preposterous as having a committee of women around a "holographic campfire" (for brevity) determining the fate of the universe. One of the women takes the trip into the campfire, is promptly abducted by the Borg, and destroys the cube with her "sheer despair" once she is linked in to the collective.
