Tom's is the worst PC site out there. Their (short) review of the Mac Studio goes out of its way to prove that. In a nutshell the Mac Studio with the M1 Ultra is a small, quiet, efficient, and powerful workstation that can, if need be, playback up to 18 streams of 8K ProRes 422 video. It is not a gaming PC. If your workflow can take advantage of what it offers, and you value low power draw, low heat, low noise, then I doubt there is a PC out there that can match it. For the majority of Mac Studio customers all they need is the M1 Max. If your workflow needs Windows/Nvidia/AMD then don't fret about Apple Silicon based products as they are not for you.You will be using a shit ton more electricity, generate a shit ton more heat, and make a shit ton more noise.

Distros such as Ubuntu Netbook Remix are nice and simple to use. For me, the main reason is to get away from Windows and Microsoft. Free your mind and your ass will follow.

Team Fortress 2 relies heavily on its visuals but Valve did not go for realism. Valve developed a specific look that compliments the gameplay.

Games such as the upcoming Forza Motorsport 3 and Gran Turismo 5 will rely heavily on realism. The more realistic the games are the better they will be. The enhanced graphics play a huge part in the gameplay.

Tetris on my iPhone does not need to be on the same level as GT5 (visually) to be a great game. Motion X Poker (iPhone) looks fantastic and that does add to the enjoyment factor.
