Thanks to several of you for making my time here quite enjoyable.

The bickering and childishness displayed here lately has made me want to leave even more. I'm very disappointed in pretty much everyone. I can't believe some of the words people are putting to paper. (This isn't only about the election stuff)

I've been debating it for a while, since all anyone does on here is bitch...including myself.

Josh, email me when you get unread working.

In case you were wondering, no, this isn't a joke. I'm dead serious. I'm deeply disappointed in this place and the people on it. I have better uses for my time. Don't bother responding, I won't be hear to read it.

  • So, I interviewed for an Em Franchise, but your people never got back with my people. I guess I should have followed up sooner, and that their silence means that I don't have the necessary qualifications to be an Em Franchise owner. That of course, is code for "I didn't bribe them enough", that can of course be rectified. ;)

    (I'm assuming that you're being truthful here, but you can never tell -- that's the penalty for crying wolf).

    I'll miss you when you're gone... You're one of the more interesting people around here. Part of the landscape, if you will. But good luck with, well, everything.

    Thought for the day: how will this affect things? Sure, we lost LG and Banky without things changing too much. But what effect will a figure as central as Em leaving have on our little community? Time will tell...

    Jeez, this really sucks. True or false, you should have at least waited until Friday. Had you done that, people would say "Wait, remember when he pulled that 'Dread Pirate Roberts' crap? That was a joking Friday sign-off." As it is, you sorta removed some of the turmoil you could have created.

  • I've noticed myself that I come and visit less and less often. I'll notice responses to my posts and I'll save the little notification in the message center thinking, "I'll respond later". I never do and end up deleting the message after a week. Eventually I will probably just fade out of existence on Slashdot. I've never been one for big exits.

  • To sustain Slashdot one has to have side activities or it's quite easy to go nuts and get stuck in a posting/reloading pattern or even turn into an occasional trol or something. I must still be blacklisted somewhere btw since I have lost moderation a couple of years ago and it hasn't been back. but that's okay because I don't care either.

    My bottom line is that this isn't a place which should be taken too seriously. The editors generally do a poor job at puting stories up, but there are some stories deemed
