Story from the weekend? Well, I've got one about dinner last night with blinder, but I'll just mention that it involved two midgets, a pack of chewing gum, and a horse farm in washington. He can explain the rest.

I understand that Scissors can beat Paper, and I get how Rock can beat Scissors, but there's no @#%& way Paper can beat Rock. Paper is supposed to magically "wrap around" Rock, leaving it immobile? Why the hell cant paper do this to scissors? Screw scissors, why can't paper do this to people? Why aren't sheets of college ruled notebook paper constantly suffocating students as they attempt to take notes in class? I'll tell you why, because paper can't beat anybody. So instead, we were just doing demonstration fireups and stripdowns in the pits. As our regular driver was in Canada, I was deputised for the weekend. Yes, I've now sat in the hot seat of a 6500bhp dragster while it's been running on nitromethane. Now all I've got to do is get to the startline in the same position, and hur

  • I have a bunch of college-attending and college-aged friends & freinds-of-friends here in the college-town of Albany NY. And most of them are either SCAdians, Medeivalists, or just plain ornery geeks. And almost all of them have a Livejournal account.

So, of course, there are regular cycles of round robin drama. Someone acts like a jerk. Other people tell them that they're jerks. And then the jerk-tellers get scolded in turn, often by the original jerk. (Think EMACS vs. Vi flamewars, but in real li
