I have to agree. I consider Linux a much more stable platform to work on in most cases and it definitely performs better, but I just don't have the time to sit down and learn it well enough to use it. I can't really code, but then for my job I don't have to. In most industries the standard desktop is usually Windows or MacOS, (science is one big exception here) and there is a reason for this. They are very intuitive for most people. You can sit down and use it immediately. If Linux wants to compete on an even platform with the industry leaders, their going to have to make it easier to use. I've tried Redhat and Corel for it's supposedly all encompassing GUI interface, but there all it was was a beefed up x-windows which let you explore like Windows Explorer. Don't get me wrong, I want Linux to keep its smaller size and better performance, but to take a lesson in ease of use from MacOS or Windows.
Just my 2 cents
