Atheists and other bitter persons that believe in Evolution, they seem to get -everything- wrong. All their beliefs seem like a checklist that go hand in hand: If you find one, the whole dozen will be there as well : They are wrong about religion, wrong about homosexuality, wrong about global warming, wrong about guns, wrong about welfare, wrong about govt.health care, wrong about national defense and definitely wrong about abortion. So when someone wants to teach a different viewpoint than the recycled bad science currently in public schools - Applause !

very much echo this. Atari 1600XL, basic cartridge, cassette drive, typed in junk from magazines. I even ported code from other mags to see what I could borrow. since I was also a D&D geek, I would try to do all I could to do game related printoutsm dungeons,etc.

Do it in parcels. What are your most common files? databases? PDFs? JPGs? spreadsheets? Whatever they are, de-dup all the common file extensions one at a time. Do the pictures, then the documents, then the PDFs, then the MP3s, ... If this is a porn collection, you need to log out and never come back to slashdot ever again. Anyways, then start working on *.*, but break that up into chunks. De-dup from 0K size to 1Meg, then from1Meg to 10Meg, from 10Meg to 50Meg, etc. This is the tool I use: http://archive.org/details/tucows_373411_Duplicate_File_Finder I have thrown some real hairballs at it and it works fine.

No offense, but you're not a major company. Wouldn't an event strong enough to harm all you are already saving also destroy your user base's machines, and thus your livelihood anyways? When people are picking up the pieces after that level of disaster, small game companies probably will not make the first dozen rounds of triage...
