In my last role we were required to use Azure Visual Desktop (AVD) which would inevitably fail to connect either due to a Windows 11 bug or some obscure network misconfiguration by our corporate gatekeepers. We'd all diligently switch back to using the Remote Desktop App (RDP) which gave us exactly the same functionality as AVD and was totally reliable. Eventually, the original issue was solved and we would get the hard nudge from management to use AVD (until the next failure). It was complete madness!
