No need. Wrap the cannon in electrical tape or duct tape. If the PVC ruptures, the tape has enough flexibility to hold the shrapnel in place.
How many hardware guys does it take to change a light bulb? "Well the diagnostics say it's fine buddy, so it's a software problem."
