Eddi3's Journal: Lack of Modpoints?

Are there less mod points floating around today? I haven't seen many +5's at all lately. Is it just me?

I receive mod points approximately every fortnight. I do not farm accounts. Most of the time, I let my points lapse.

My recommendation is to occasionally metamod. I have, in person, heard it directly from The Taco's mouth that far too few people metamod.

Its power to limit bad moderators is limited (account farming), but I think it helps give modpoints to users who want them.

The system may be more broken than it has to be, but that doesn't mean that in the meantime one cannot try to manipulate the system into producing more reasonable results.

Some people have scripts to create accounts at set/semi-set/random intervals and have a browser add-on to allow them to quickly switch their account, posting in a semi-random fashion, which allows them to farm accounts in the interest of catching the criteria by which they will receive mod points.

Don't be ridiculous. Why would I need a browser add-on to create accounts when I have complete access to the Slashdot?
