If progressive web apps were enough no one would bother creating native apps. The first limitation here is that any web page has to be accessed through Appleâ(TM)s restrictive âoeWebKitâ browser technology. Beyond that, progressive web apps lack a lot of the hardware acceleration and other OS resources that a native app can offer. Something like fortnight, as a lazy example, could never run as a progressive web app due to both the intrusive web controls and the processing overhead caused by the phone running a web browser at the same time.

This approach would definitely lead to better outcomes than our current one of choosing a single field a specializing. Iâ(TM)d even recommend further domains of knowledge such as persuasion, design, economics and accounting, and golfing (as a way of bonding with corporate superiors). A second language too if you have the ability to learn it. Since each field has its own set of rules on critical thinking and exposes different sets of biases/fallacies (such as sunk cost in economics) the more domains you learn the better you can recognize these patterns and avoid them leading to better thinking and an easier time succeeding.

Did you know that Nuclear waste is stored as a solid? Turns out storage is fairly easy. Every Nuclear plant has an area for storing waste. Considering a single football field can store all the waste created by the US since the first reactor was created, the on site storage should be enough for a plant to create 50 years of waste and still have room. Furthermore, Gen 4 fast reactors can take waste from other plants and use them as fuel, further cutting down on the problem.

Well considering how well the switch has taken off and how many 3rd party developers are jumping on board the switch can be considered amazing. It's essentially a portable home console which can be easily projected into a bigger screen which is something that can't be claimed by anyone else. This is extremely tempting for anyone who sells games since the switch basically has created its own, separate market which is unique to only the switch which means that people are willing to repurchase games on it that they already own. So yes the games are amazing but so is the switch.

But honestly. I actually don't mind this model too much. Although I do believe that such apps and sites should try to be smart about it and attempt to back off if a borrowed CPU is being overloaded. While JavaScript doesn't have any easy ways to check CPU usage at the very least they could include a checkbox allowing for it to be disabled if users notice their computer slowing.

Comment That's not evolution (Score 1) 116

Evolution generally describes the changing of genes and DANA in animals which leads to changes in them. The changes are then weeded through by natural selection for the best. This article describes a process where birds already have the ability to grow longer beaks meaning that this isn't evolution it's natural selection.
