I always don my drysuit, hood, and gloves and find a 10L cylinder of air at 200bar gets me whereever I need to go and back again. I always do a safety stop 5m from my front door. Currently looking for a full face mask in a Darth Vader style.
Almost exactly the same here. Daily browsing, probably less than 16 posts. One submission though, I was living in Gozo when the Azure Window fell down.
I also haven't seen any countries recalling their ambassadors until the 20th. Good old international diplomacy. Sure, we don't want to interfere in another country's politics, but hang on, this is kinda looking like a rogue state for the next week and a bit...
Is the free gift of a vaccine to every American considered socialist health care?
Actually many Americans can't even bring themselves to utter the word 'hell'. Funny old world.
... except he really, REALLY doesn't want to leave.
Exactly the same on Citroen C3. All that is visible is the +ve terminal (I worked out that you are meant to use the metalwork as the -ve for charging). You can't even see the size and make/model of the current battery without dis-assembling a whole lot of stuff that has been fixed on top of its box.
So for those of us who live outside the USA, there are different tests in different states/cities? I am only personally aware of the UK and Malta, which require vehicle tests every one or two years (depending on age of the vehicle), computer linked into the tax and insurance records. Obviously it's performance on the day of the test (or retest) that counts, so if any modifications can be undone or switched off for that time then you're still golden. And there is (certainly in Malta) an SMS number which, if it receives two separate notifications of the license number for visibly dirty exhaust, triggers a retest.
I'm certain these would still happen without the possibility of financial gain. Are vandalism and graffiti profitable? Thought not.
As someone caring for a parent who has had M.E. for over 2 decades now, post a relatively minor viral infection, I'm well aware of the huge range of outcomes. I also don't believe I said everyone was all better forever from even the common cold. All I said was this virus is different and should be viewed differently to existing viral diseases.
But feel free to vent. And have a great day.
Of course not. You conveniently missed out health services being packed to capacity or over capacity, leading to lack of treatment for non-Covid cases, or cross infection if you do get into hospital. Care workers getting sick and being unable to look after people who cannot look after themselves. A whole host of societal problems which I know you are aware of. But to feed the troll, no, I would not like to get Covid-19, recover, and look forward to a life without scuba say, due to long term lung damage, nor damage to heart or kidneys or brain, nor just feeling foggy and losing my sense of smell. YMMV.
Any country could pass emergency leglisation or use existing emergency powers. Weren't all ethnically Japanese interned during WW2? Not saying that was the right thing, or even suggesting what the right thing today would just. Merely pointing out that a leader who thinks it will go away is unlikely to enforce anything, whereas a different style of leadership could operate under an emergency legal basis.
What about the lingering health problems affecting survivors? Is that fun? Death is not the only issue here - surviving this virus can be a lot different to surviving the 'flu or common cold.
As you will see, I told them, in no uncertain terms, to see Figure one. -- Dave "First Strike" Pare
