Not really. Maxthon uses the IE core. It is just a better interface. I prefer Foxfire for security.

Coming to you from the Adirondacks in Upstate New York. Interests are computers(of course) and old tube radios. Started in computers with Sinclair ZX80 kit, upgraded it to a X81 and added a full size keyboard and 16Kb of memory. It actually worked and played a descent game of Chess.
