Slashdot readers tend to hate copyright in the first place...
I'm going to make a comment on that. Copyright has one good aspect--it forces people to write their own stuff. If there was no copyright, I'm pretty sure that most of the creative work we see would be simply be embellishment on previously done work. All our literature would simply be made up of folk tales.
Enough of that happens anyway, if you think about it.
