Grant Henninger writes: "Today, NASA announced their final selection for the Mars Scout 2013 mission: Mars Atmosphere and Volatile EvolutioN (MAVEN). MAVEN will provide the first direct measurements ever taken to address key scientific questions about Mars' evolution by measuring characteristics of its atmospheric gases, upper atmosphere, solar wind, and ionosphere."

The next time you have an extra $20 million and decide to visit the International Space Station you won't need to leave the window to tell all your friends how cool it is. The ISS now has a new wifi network, so all you'll need to do is fire up Twitterrific and announce how much better you are than your Earth based friends."
