Public information is for the public, I don't believe you need jurisdiction or authority to view public information.
Protests and potential harmful postal deliveries might interest USPS and how they handle packages that day (if anything suspicious) and the postal routes might need to be changed so they don't run into any crowded areas or show caution if they do. If this was about my postal guy spying on my wifi as they sit outside I would be concerned, but if they are just sharing public information that could affect their job or government services. I for my own sanity try to keep my paranoia on overreaching of authority.
