As far as I'm aware the only true way to stop children from accessing content you don't want them to see, turn the net off in the house or grow a pair and start parenting.

Holy crap I remember the first time i got the compiz desktop cube running in linux, that was a very long time ago (over 15 yrs). I also stopped using vids on the desktop less than a week later because as novel an idea as it might be, it was just too much activity, and very distracting.
