A chem PhD is going to be employable somewhere even if they went to South Texas Teachers College night school bc they have demonstrated abilities but a Stanford PhD in Etruscan Historiography may have a harder time. Just saying.

School is all they know and in many cases all they were ever good at and they just keep moving through the system for as far and for as long as they can. They can't say their addresses or tel # or email from memory! A few have gotten on the wrong bus and they can't get home or even contact home bc they don't know the info from memory.
