Comment This is what we all knew was going to happen. (Score 2) 217

This is ALL part of microsoft's plan to tighten their grip to push everyone towards an Software/OS as a service model. They knew from the dramatic backlash from when they thrust windows 8 into the world that was still pleased as pie to continue using "7". Originally they didn't force people to use or even keep active so many new unwanted features that violates their privacy and effectively turns their computer into a spy on it's owner. First they forced windows 7 computers to update without permission to windows 10. Then they started rolling out feature updates that chipped away at many of the greatness that people liked about windows 7. A great example is Cortana. This is the next logical step in their plans to trick or force users to send their data to microsoft. I think that they are creating a HUGE database of users and their data. Why? Because they can make money off it without the user's consent or knowledge doing whatever they want to it. And it is beyond user's right to know who and when Microsoft or third parties access whatever data Microsoft slurps up from their users, but it is guaranteed that Microsoft is making a profit from third parties accessing it, be it commercial or government entities using it without your knowledge or direct consent.
