after picking up both a NES (front load :( ) and the mega man anniversary collection, i must agree.

despite some of the great console titles as of late (beyond good & evil, riddick, front mission 4, etc) it's nice to just sit down and go for score or literally -beat- something in a short span of time.

now, rerelease gijoe arcade and sunset riders and i'll be happy.

Was this book typset in TeX? And do they recommend the use of literate programming?

Personally, I'll just wait for TAOCP volumes 9 and 10 which will be the definitive guide on network programming for all operating systems.

Fellow Surfers of the Information Super-Highway!

Let me welcome you to my first account on the popular on-line news journal named (quite humorously) Slashdot(dot)Org!

My intention here is to merely be a bit more public in my opinions on the state of modern computers and computations as opposed to the faculty website I have at Stanford. Hopefully, we can all learn a great deal from each others viewpoints.
