You assume people care about the use of steroids by athletes. I don't think they do. As far as I can tell, only sports media and athletes care.
Bingo. Record attendance numbers at MLB games last season proved this beyond the shadow of a doubt. Doubly so for attendance at games when Barry Bonds was going for the HR record.
