...given that Steam is terrible for macOS users. At this point in time any game on Steam can fall into one of these categories:
- 32bit Intel, only runs on Intel Macs with an old version of macOS that still supports 32bit executables.
- 64bit Intel, runs on Intel Macs but does not run (well) on ARM Macs.
- 64bit Intel, runs on Intel Macs and runs well on ARM Macs via Rosetta 2.
- 64bit Intel & ARM, works well on all recent Macs.
- 64bit ARM, works only on ARM Macs.
Now please tell me, how do Mac users know whether a random game works on their Mac when Steam only says "Mac" or "no Mac"?
Is the growing wave of outright scam products, I'm talking 10TB SSDs for under 100 Euros, also part of the plan?
Agree, my iPhone 4S was a but strange at the end of its four year run, but the 6S is still usable even today, after a battery swap! You should know that if you go for years without ever letting the battery drain to the point of the phone shutting itself down then your battery loses calibration and the health in iOS will not be updated properly.
"the user experience of getting to that unique content doesn't really matter."
I use dark mode on OLED displays.
I had a RAID 6 and then the NAS enclosure failed. Luckily I also had a backup.
And that is exactly what I am calling out as wrong, it implies that superficial, syntactical resemblance is more important than the large semantical differences. This is not just a theoretical issue, I have seen way too many people being confused by this, in a working environment, starting to copy code and ideas between Java and C++ and wondering why it behaved differently.
How can anybody in their right mind maintain that Java is C-based? The only thing that is relatively C-like in Java is the syntax, but the virtual machine and object models are so far away that it isn't even funny. Welcome to the superficial world.
Brain off-line, please wait.
