If Slate can be believed this is a really cool car. At $100K for the debut model, it's a bit out of my league to be an early adopter, though.

On Tesla's homepage, they speak of the $100K sports car being the first model. Sounds like they will next introduce a luxury car that goes for under $70K, then a family car that sells for under $40K. I'm with you ... while not an early adopter, I'd line up for a test drive then gladly consider the family car in a few years.
