DisownedSky's Journal: Will you live 1,000 years?

Aubrey de Grey thinks you might. It's mostly vaportherapy right now, but what if he's right? If you could live as long as you wanted to, how long would that be?

Would I be wearing Depends for 920 of those years? And would the ol' brain still be working after the first 140 years or so? I have to admit the idea is compelling, though boredom could be a real problem, not to mention overpopulation, among many other problems. Now if I could sleep for say, 50 years at a time, that would be awesome since it would really cut down on the boredom factor. However I would also be worried I would wake up one day and everyone around me would be speaking Chinese (literally) :-|

I want to die young....40 years old, perhaps. However, that's for the current aging process...if it took 300 years to start getting wrinkles and arthritis, I would have a different answer.
