Mobulas are cool. They're only a about a meter in size, but still..

The iMac G5 is almost back to normal, with a new 400 GB WD internal HD, but there are pictures of sentimental value not backed up on the 250 GB drive that was failing S.M.A.R.T. and refusing to yield up most of its files. I wonder if I should try and send this drive out for data recovery. How much does that cost?

The usual Nobel Prize winner's thing. Too bad it was necessary.

Macs are good machines but the OS isn't real world. The main use of a mac IMO is for art, video, or other media editting.. But yes they are good machines overall.
