Intelligent machines and software development (Score 1)

So Lanier thinks that "Humanity" in general doesn't know how to write software. He believes that it will be 50 years before any good laws are passed regulating software development. If intelligent machines are a foregone conclusion within the next 20-30 years, who says the machines will be letting humans write any code at all in 50 years?
