Thre is no game that is "keeping me" from running Linux. I have two computers - one for gaming running Windows and one for everything else running Linux. I do believe Steam for Linux will change the paradigm, though, for PC gaming. I am excited to see what games will be released. Whether they are released for Windows or Linux, I am ready.

Security on a kid's computer = (1 part education) + (1 part technology) + (1 part fear) I think the education and technology solutions provided in the previous posts are all adequate. For my son I add the fear element. Let your son know that you can have the system take a screenshot at anytime to email you what he is doing.

No worries, though. Ultimately, life will fix the problem.

Usually not too soon after graduation. There's something humbling about filing dozens of job applications only to get one or no offers. :P

... or having to settle for a tech position that did not require a degree - ask my 4 night shift operators.
