Most of social media is just people arguing about whose opinion is better. It's all crap, because it's online, anonymous shit-talking. When we speak to other people face-to-face, a large majority don't revert to name-calling and acting like an ass. They realize there's repercussions from real-life actions. Expecting there to be any real discourse where anonymous identities protect everyone is just delusional. This will fail as much as basically all social media has failed.

I can't say if they have license plates, because I never bothered looking for one on an X-Wing. However, I've seen plenty with bumper stickers that have silly jokes like "MY OTHER SPACESHIP IS A CORELLIAN CRUISER".

If you consider that the drone deliveries will all be within a specific radius of the local Amazon warehouses, then it's only going to be a 7.5 mile radius to cover 175 square miles. That might cover, say, two suburbs in every direction surrounding Chicago. Let's say that covers 10 suburbs in total; what about deliveries to the other 275 suburbs?

My own anecdotal evidence aside (as I work in a VA hospital), studies have been done to show that "[t]he VA often (but not always) performs better than or similarly to other systems of care with regard to the safety and effectiveness of care". Or how about the fact that a "nationwide Medicare survey...found that veterans rated Veterans Affairs hospitals higher than private health care facilities in all 10 categories of patient satisfaction".

Doctors are not working for the VA "because they can't cut it in private practice". Many of the health professionals I know at the VA work there because they are either former military themselves, or they feel a civic pride in giving back to those who served. The idea that the VA gives substandard healthcare is not only extremely false, but a lie that needs to be corrected.

You seem hung up on what you consider assault as compared to what the law considers assault, and then completely ignore the fact that your definition isn't what's important. Perhaps you should just Google "is throwing a pie in a person's face assault".

And can it cause physical harm? What if the person had a dairy allergy or a gluten intolerance? People getting hit with pies in the face have caused lacerations and eye injuries, it's not a difficult thing to research and find examples. Obviously, these are considered negative physical reactions, so I'll go ahead and just say your claim that it can't cause physical harm is untrue.

You keep bringing up this notion that somebody who WILLINGLY has pies thrown in their face at a fundraiser is somehow the same as somebody who UNWILLINGLY has pies thrown in their face. Do you really not understand the concepts of context and consent?

Every story I've seen about this new degree has made the same mistake: calling it an "influencer degree". It's for content creation, not influencing. The latter is a subset of the former, but content creation is not specifically influencing.

I can't find a single shred of evidence this is the case. Doing some web searches I can see a few people stating that he's a Sandy Hook denier, but I haven't come across one single link or actual quote to back up the claim. Can you provide some actual citations?
