Detaining a person against their will without any evidence followed by threats in an attempt to obtain their private data - is criminal behavior. Call me old fashioned but I miss the days of 'innocent until proven guilty'.
Using past examples of government failure to warrant sacrificing personal liberties of the future is tenuous justification.
Nobody is above the law - I'll suddenly remember my passwords as soon as the people we entrust to run our countries stop losing evidence that implicates themselves or their financiers.
To *force* people to reveal all of their private data in the hope of catching minor criminals when the enforcing party has covered up war crimes, pedophile rings and implemented lobbyist driven laws for personal gain?
Yep, can't quite seem to remember any password at all.
