Rudeness and transparent society (Score 1)

Some people never stop to think that there's a real Frederick Winsor fan on the other side of the (correctly attributed) quotation:

The poem you have posted at http://www.blackbook.org/1999/03/990314.html is copyright protected since it is part of the book The Space Child's Mother Goose. Please remove it immediately or place a link back to our web site so that people may order the book which will be out in July.

This is not about copyright protection, this is about extorting free advertising. It is obviously polite, it says "please". Something like, "Hey, I see you're a fan of Frederick Winsor's "A Space Child's Mother Goose"! We are bringing it back into print after X years. If you'd like to buy a copy, they'll be shipping in July. Could you place a link to the book's page next to the quotation?" would have netted another advance sale and a some good publicity.
