Never watched Fox News when I had cable or satellite. I could not get a discount for cable/satellite to avoid paying carriage of Fox News. Same goes for sports channel rent seeking. The last straw occurred when I couldn't bundle Discovery without some sports fee. Also extra fees to carry the local over-the-air channels. Got a net tuner and Plex subscription and never looked back. Oh and the TV images are so much better for the over-the-air channels than the bit reduced Spectrum nonsense.

Obviously this is some troll response. Apple Maps is mostly better than Waze/Google Maps, all which work fine with CarPlay. Apple Maps has better road info: Stop Lights, Stop Signs, Lane info for intersections with mostly enough pre-warning what lane you need to be in.

I am looking at it from an end user perspective. They see the connector as the "thing". The underlying link and physical layer stuff is another issue, some of which I am commenting on. For example I have a scanner with USB-C connector for comms and power. If I plug a USB-C to USB-C cable in, it don't work. I need to use a USB-A to USB-C power delivery type kind of cable.

Being not USB makes Lightning better! Lightning provided features long before USB, so USB is poor copy of Apple tech. Don't get me started about the debacle of USB-C, is it USB 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, USB4.x, ? lanes, PD support, with some random set of features implemented. At least you don't have to plug USB-C connector in 3 time with 180 degree rotations to get it fit.
