Probably if anything people are more hostile to feminism now than they were a couple of decades ago, or at least indifferent, as they sink further into depolitical apathy.
By the way, it's just been pointed out to me that the text of the lecture on the website ended abruptly in mid-sentence, about one third of the way in. No wonder some people found it unsatisfactory. Very bad, that was my fault. It's fixed now, and actually makes sense.
Still, you'd have thought that some of these clever critics would have noticed such a thing, if they'd actually bothered to read what they were dismissing.
