You wouldn't happen to know if David Wingrove is involved in this at all? He co-wrote the novels (with the Myst creator?) and he also wrote the rather excellent Chung Kuo series. At some point I'll get around to reading those Myst books and if all the recommendations flying around here are anything to go by, they'll be pretty good. On a similar note, at some point Mr Wingrove will get around to writing another book...
