I received an email from linkedIn that said someone I knew (my sister, but it didn't know she was my sister) wanted to connect. I asked her if she requested a link and she said no. When linkedIn lied to me that was enough for me to dump them. It's been many years since I've been there. I ignore it completely.

So my Outlooks both have 5 copies of the same meeting. Which of the 10 meetings am I supposed to attend?

I'm tired of M$ apps on Mac. I wish this means they'll stop writing stuff for Macs.

I've been saying for years that the Outlook team should all be fire and Outlook permanently retired. M$ should start from scratch using no one that was involved with Outlook as a product. Knowing M$ they'd just buy an email client and calendaring client and go from there. There's no way it could be any worse that Outlook. The only reason anyone uses Outlook is because it is part of the M$ Office Gordian Knot. I wish my employer would dump it for almost anything else.

Some of the problems:
    o Cannot get a new member of a team to have access to the team's calendar
    o Some events cannot be deleted, even by the owner
    o Some events can be deleted by someone who is not the owner
    o Some events show up multiple times as if they are different events. I've seen up to 5 copies of the same meeting!
    o By default forces you to use formatted text when writing an email
    o Hides email addresses so you don't really know who you are emailing unless you poke around.
    o Hard to view message source
    o Combines calendar and email functions into one app. making it harder to see both at the same time.
    o Maybe it has an alarm function, but I haven't seen it for events. All you get is a notification which can be easy to miss, especially if you have multiple monitors

Please just make it go away!

The best developers spend their time herding other developers, in meetings, and jabbering with management. I've worked for lots of companies and for a lead developer to say they haven't touched a line of code in months sounds right, AI or not!

Wow. Suburbs dying because of water shortage! Apparently you don't know much about water. Yes, there's places in California where building has outpaced water supply, but California is not the entire US. Many places in the US have abundant water and suburbs are thriving there. Where I live we have too much fresh clean water. Some goes to waste.

Besides, suburbs are a very effective anti-terrorist tactic.

I worked at a company that had a couple of silent layoffs. We had to poke around Slack, and other corporate-wide software to see who was gone. The company didn't announce anything. How else were we to know who was gone? I should have written a script!

This is actually useful stuff because when a manager leaves involuntarily the meetings in Outlook (please die Outlook!) don't automatically get canceled or reassigned. We end up with meetings that can't be deleted by anyone left and if you don't know the meeting owner is gone, you show up and no one is there.

"Meanwhile Donald Trump continues to be the best investment Russia ever made." There ought to a corollary to Godwin's Law that when you repeat a provenly false story about Trump that anything else you say is discounted as nonsense.

This is yet another reason why I'm glad I don't have any M$ products. Now if I could just get my employer to agree...

Every shot must have red and green in the frame. I don't know if this is true, but it sure seems like it.

Someone did a comedy routine with the formula and it seemed pretty accurate...not that I would know.

I just laugh at these clowns predicting climate disasters because their models have all been wrong. Not just by a little, but by a lot. No connection to reality.

If it wasn't for the dangerous politicians who leverage the hysteria for political and monetary gain, I would ignore them completely.

I know quite a few people that have ditched M$ Windows entirely and have switched to Linux. I helped only one person switch, but everyone else did it on their own. The more I talk around I find people that have switched to Linux. These are all personal, not corporate machines.
