I had a conversation once with one person who believed your solution was the answer, and one who did not.
The person who did not had the perfect rebuttal, and I agree with it, so I'll share it here.

You're coming up against millions of years of social hard-wiring, Paragon. It just won't happen. Even chimps have sex in secret sometimes, so the alpha-male doesn't drive the female from the troop.
