Big negative there, they made absolutely no mention of engine/stator/rotor failure, only failure recorded during the test WAS the love joint, because it is a mechanical protection designed to do EXACTLY this.
outside of destroying that, or possibly turning off some type of secondary cooling system, it isn't going to do a damn thing to it. Been there, worked on field power plants just like this one, you could shoot the damn things with a 50. and they will still most likely keep kicking until it throws a rod from lack of oil, but then again, a transducer that is used in EVERY single engine is hard wired using D.C. into their fault relay/protection circuit.
