Since when is it required to recite the pledge? If you don't agree with it, THEN DON'T SAY IT. This nation was founded on the ideals and principals of the Christian bible, not the Koran (Quoran) or any other religion's text.
Sure, we're guaranteed the spearation of church and state. However, most of you are missing the point. It doesn't mean that religious-leaning items CANNOT be part of our government; rather, it is meant to prevent a single secular/theological ruling entity.
I just don't understand - would you complain if you lived in Isreal and everything shut down on the Sabbath? We can be bombarded by messages of an immoral nature on a constant basis, but Heaven-forbid we mention God in public. This is a very sad state of affairs.
