I wouldn't exactly say the company will live on...not the way they intended anyways. Bill and Dave passed the torch to Lew Platt, an HP insider, who then went out and recruited Carly Fiorina from Lucent to come in and take over. After sucking up some 70 Million in bonus and salary her first year, you can take a look at HP's stock value (HWP.N) and see just where it's headed. As an HP employee in the lower ranks, I can tell you there's not many Carly fans where I work!
