TW is nothing at all like MUD! We still sneak around, build empires and knock the snot out of one another :) True, there are helper programs, and talented script writers. Those things only add to the game's enjoyment. No longer to you need to sit with your handy calculator and figure each and every port haggle, nor do you have to beat your fingers to a bloody pulp colonizing. The majority of the players still for the most part play manually. Sure, they will run a script for repetative boring stuff, but when it comes to ship to ship battles, or planetary invasions.. I know I prefer to be in charge. Even those who run kill scripts must be there to initiate them.

Seems you need to learn more strategies for playing multi-player games. And do look for some games with a limit on turns. Personally, I don't care for games with turns over 1k per day. Although, it seems the more turns allowed per day games most often attract the newer players whom have not yet learned how to conserve thier turns. There will always be ppl out there trying to exploit bugs in the game. Try to find a respectable game to play which is run by a good sysop. One who actively looks for cheaters and dupers.

Currently, I am working very closely with John Pritchett debugging the game. I lead a group of players who are as dedicated to this game as anyone, and are very knowlegable. We run thorough tests on each and every release looking for bugs and reporting them with as much detail as possible to John Pritchett so that he can fix them. We are very pleased with his work, and support of the game.
