If you watch the first 7 minutes and then fast forward to minute 44, it isn't a bad movie. They needed to focus more on the trees around the world and what humans are doing to them.
The middle part was out of date, and nitpicky. Yes we need to figure out how to do industrial production using renewable energy to get off of fossil fuels, but there weren't any solutions to work towards.
And they sidestepped around calling for worldwide birth control, women empowerment, voluntary permanent birth control, and better sex education at a younger age (on-line and uncensored). That is how you start to reduce the amount of humans being born and to help people get out of poverty.
But playing "gotcha" on a music concert that is trying to use solar panels in Vermont is missing the big picture. Complaining that the mirrors installed back 20+ years ago somehow is contributing to the financial benefit of the rich anti-environmentalists isn't great either. And who knows how much natural gas is used there. Maybe it is only used to prevent it from freezing a few nights a year as a backup? Or are they getting the landfill/food decomposing natural gas for this site? It wasn't necessary and was missing a lot of details. I'm surprised the bird issue wasn't brought up.
