I beg to differ. From an IEEE perspective, we specify curriculum content, and make this number one of our guidelines.

While market valuation may a gauge of the economic health/activity, it is not the economy.

Could it just be possible that this an effort to head off a possible presidential pardon, or least make such a pardon appear to be ill-considered?
